Mike has been in the gym industry for 30 years. After retiring from Forestry in 1993, Mike bought a small gym in McMinnville, OR. Three years later he closed that gym and opened two Gold's Gyms. Mike eventually them and moved to Sierra Vista in 2005 and established Summit Fitness.
Janet met Mike at the U of WA in 1965, graduating with a BS in Nursing and spending 20 years as a nursing supervisor. Janet has been helping Mike since they bought their first gym in 1993. Janet is the Bookkeeper and Member Account Mgr. She also volunteers at Ramsey Canyon.
Tony has a BS degree in Kinisiology with emphasis in Fitness, Nutrition, and Health. He holds personal training certificates from NSCA and ACE and has worked many years in the fitness field in California and Arizona. Tony has been with Summit Fitness since 2006. Tony and wife Martha have 2 children.
Vanessa started at Summit Fitness as a member in 2007, and found her calling as a Group Fitness Instructor in 2011. She has been GFM since 2012. She loves helping people discover new ways to enjoy exercise and make it a lifestyle for the whole family. Currently certified in Group Kick, Group Step, and Group Power.
As a personal trainer certified by the NASM, David helps people of all ages and abilities, improve strength, flexibility, core, and cardiovascular fitness so that life can be enjoyed to the fullest. David is former competitive bodybuilder, winning first place in the Copper Classic open middleweight and master’s categories in 2004 and 2005.
Shelbi Strube graduated from Taylor University with a BA degree in Exercise Science. She is certified as an Exercise Physiology Specialist and studying Strength and Conditioning and Nutrition. Shelbi specializes in PT for HIIT as well as footwork and cognitive awareness.
